What We Do
What We Do
Up one level
Project Thane was started in 2003 by Population First to address the crucial health and population issues faced by the people in rural Thane's Shahapur block through our project, Action for Mobilisation of Community-based Health and Population Initiatives (AMCHI). The project focuses on strengthening IEC inputs, community mobilisation through micro-planning processes, NGO, government and media networking and partnership building and service support. The whole process aims at empowering the communities to take collective responsibility for their own development.
This is Population First's girl child campaign against sex selection and falling sex ratio.
Population First advocates a greater need for involvement of policy makers, political parties, media and the people at large to help achieve population stabilisation. We do this through the National Advocacy Campaign for Population Stabilisation (NACPS).
Youth has the power and the potential - We show them how to use it - To make a difference
