  • D. Shyamkumar, Central Chronicle, Chhattisgarh
  • Afsana Rashid, FreeLancer, J&K
  • Pooja Kashyap Soni, Kutchmitra, Kutch

Afsana Rashid, Media FellowAvailing Laadli Media fellowship on “Pre-Birth Sex Selection” by Mumbai based, Population First in 2013, was a wonderful and enriching experience. It helped to bring to fore the issues (through the write-ups) in the Kashmir valley, that are of immediate concerns to the society, but remain under the carpet due to several reasons. The stories produced as a result of fellowship generated debate and discussion within the society. Such initiatives should be encouraged.
