Mr.Mahindra had been appointed by the Government of India to serve on a number of Committees including the Sachar Commission on Company Law & MRTP; CentralAdvisory Council of Industries; etc.
Mrs. Rajashree Birla is a Director on the Board of allthe major Aditya Birla Group of Companies; viz., Grasim, Hindalco, Indian Rayonand Indo Gulf. She is also a Director on the Larsen & Toubro (L&T)Board, and additionally serves as a Director on the Board of the Aditya BirlaGroup’s International Companies. Under her leadership the Aditya Birla Grouphas enlarged its scope of activities, based on an intensive assessment of theneeds of the communities. These encompass innovative projects such as providingthe rural youth with a chance to shape their future through sustainableemployment schemes, education and training, making safe drinking water easilyaccessible and women empowerment programmes. She is greatly involved in othercommunity activities also relating to women. In the sphere of education, Mrs.Birla stewards the Aditya Birla Scholarships.
Mr.Jamshyd N. Godrej joined the Board of Management of Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co.Ltd. as Director in 1974, became Managing Director in 1991 and Chairman of theBoard in 2000. Mr. Godrej is the President of World Wide Fund for Nature –India. The Godrej group is leaders in consumer durables, office equipment,industrial products, consumer products and services. Mr. Godrej is an ardentyachting enthusiast and has done extensive cruising along the west coast ofIndia.
As Chairperson of Ashok Piramal Group,Ms. Urvi Piramal oversees a professionally managed business group in India, with a market capitalization of over Rs. 2,000 crores.  She is the guiding force behind the Group’s sustained and profitable growth and in bringing the Group companies closer to realizing her vision of touching the lives of one in five people around the globe.

She has been a member of Technology and Quality Improvement Committee of IMC since its inception in 1994, and also the Chairperson of Supply Chain & Retail business (Internal Trade) Committee(04-05).

Ms.Piramal has received a number of awards for her contribution to business. She is a Trustee of the Piramal Education Trust and Ashok G Piramal Trust, which has been set up for the underprivileged. The trust runs a childrens’ School at Bagar in Rajasthan.
ProfessorM.S. He currently holds the UNESCO Chair in Eco-technology at the M.S.Swaminathan Research /foundation in Chennai (Madras), India).

During 2013, Prof Swaminathan received the Indira GandhiAward for National Integration and Greatest Global Living Legends Award ofNDTV.  He was also elected at the 20thInternational Congress of Nutrition held at Granada, Spain,“as Living Legend of International Union of Nutrition Sciences”.
Dr.(Mrs.) Indu Shahani, Principal of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics wasappointed Sheriff of Mumbai on Jan. 5, 2008.

He was recently named in the prestigious list of Hall of Fame of Asian advertising, media and marketing leaders of the past forty years by Campaign Asia. Mr. S V Sista is Chairman & M.D. of Sista’s Private Limited. Known to his friends as ‘Bobby’ he is one of those stalwarts who have guided Indian Advertising to consistently higher standards.Known for his professional integrity he constantly fought to ensure ethical business practices in a fiercely competitive profession.

Always committed to the growth of the Advertising profession and its image, Mr Sista has held important offices in many councils and associations. He was associated with organizations such as Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), Audit Bureau of circulations (ABC). He was also one of the Founders of “The Advertising Club”, Bombay in 1954. He was a Founder Trustee of PiC and President for four years.

Mr Sista is known for his commitment to the Development Sector.  It has been his endeavour to make Indian business conscious of its responsibility to society long before the current buzzword Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was coined. AchalBakeri, 54 was born in Mumbai and raised in Ahmedabad. He studied in Ahmedabad.He then went on to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA forgraduate studies in management. He has been invited to many cities around theglobe to attend seminars and programmes by various institutions.

In the year1988, Achal founded Symphony Limited in Ahmedabad, which is now apublicly-held, listed company with a market capitalization of over $ 250million. Symphony is the world’s largest manufacturer of evaporative coolingsystems.

Achal hasbeen active on board in several organizations and a guest speaker at the IIM-A,NID, Ahmedabad University, Gujarat University and at his alma mater – CEPT.

Simone Tata, past chairperson of the Trent Limited, is anIndian businesswoman. French by birth and educatedin Switzerland, she moved to India in 1955, and joined Lakmé, smallsubsidiary of Tata Oil Mills, as managing director in 1961, rising tobecome its chairperson in 1982. Lakmé became one of the leading cosmeticcompanies of India. As its chairperson, she was referred in the Indian media asthe "Cosmetic Czarina of India".

She was appointed to the board of Tata Industries in 1989.

Seeing growth in the retail sector, in 1996 Tatasold Lakmé to Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL), and created Trent fromthe money it made through the sale. All shareholders of Lakmé were givenequivalent shares in Trent. The Westside brand and storesbelong to Trent.

Advisory Council

G.S. Agrawal has been associated with the Birla Group of companies in various capacities for over 35 years, last being as Managing Director of Birla Yamaha Limited, Chairman of Birla International Limited and Commissioner of Supervisory Board of P.T. South Pacific Viscose in Indonesia. He was member of the Board of Management of Bombay Hospital for over 10 years.

Manjul Bhardwaj
is a theatre person who responds to national challenges and sets national agenda through his philosophy "Theatre of relevance". Theatre icon has authored 28 plays and has been on stage for more than 16000 times at grassroots to elitist international levels. His play “Mera Bachpan” is instrumental in rehabilitation of 50,000 child labourers. He is human process facilitator & corporate trainer. His plays “B-7”, “Vishwa – The World” & “Drop by Drop: Water” are premiered and performed more than 100 times in Europe.

Nana M. Chudasama pioneered an Indian-based service organization, ‘Giants International’. With more than 250 centers in India and also in countries like Mauritius, Africa, Germany, Nepal, U.S.A. and Taiwan, ‘Giants International’ is proof enough of his dedication. He is the founder and President of ‘I Love Bombay’, handling projects towards the beautification and cleanliness of the city.

Rajeev Dubey
  joined as a Member of the Management Board of Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in January, 2004 after a career spanning 29 years in the Tata Group, of which seven years were as Managing Director, first of Tata Metaliks and then of Rallis India. He was also a Member of the Executive Committee of Tata Quality Management Services, Tata Sons and the Tata Council for Community Initiatives, Tata Sons. His key focus area is to drive HR initiatives for the Mahindra Group.

Dr. Nirmal Jain is currently heading Ismart International based in Mumbai as its Executive Director. He was formerly the CEO of Tata Infotech Limited, where he initiated a number of steps to assist the underprivileged sections with growth opportunities. The most notable being the establishment of computer labs in municipal schools.

Dr. F.C. Kohli is known as the ‘father’ of India’s software industry, having led the largest and oldest software services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), long before India came to be recognized as a destination for quality software. Dr Kohli is also noted for his contribution to engineering in India in the fields of power system control techniques, power system automation and management, computer aided design, and application of computer science and management sciences to business, government and industry.

Pradeep Mallick is a ‘Chartered Engineer’ and a fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (FIEE), London. The nature of his expertise lies in Marketing and Leadership Development. He has been promoting the concept of CSR not only through his own company’s involvement but also other companies like Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). He was past Managing Director of Wartsila India Pvt. Ltd.

Vinod G. Nair is one of the youngest MDs & CEOs of PR consultancy in India. He is the promoter and producer of ‘A BAND OF BOYS’ - India’s first boy band. He has launched world’s biggest brands in India like Coca-Cola, IBM and Audi. He has also handled some of most prestigious mega-events held in India like Miss World 1996, Michael Jackson’s’ History World Tour 1996-97 and many more.

V.S. Palekar former Chairman of Johnson & Johnson, practices now as a Chartered Accountant. He is associated with a number of professional and commercial organisations and Charitable Trusts. He has been the President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Maharashtra Economic Development Council and the Council for Fair Business Practices.

Mr. H.C. Parekh is a retired revenue service official now focusing his attention on humanitarian and social work. He is actively associated with various environmental organizations. Currently he is the Vice chancellor of Janardhan Rai Nagar Deemed University Udaipur.

Dr. Vibhuti Patel is Professor and Head, Dept. of Economics & Director, Dept. of Post Graduate Studies & Research, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. A member of the Expert Committee of School of Gender & Development Studies for Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU), she is the Founder Member & Trustee of Anusandhan Trust and CEHAT. She is also Trustee of Vacha and Women’s Research & Action Group (WRAG) and Founder Member of Mumbai Initiative for Human Rights (MIRE).

N. Ram is former Editor-in-Chief of The Hindu, Business Line, Frontline and The Sportstar. He is one of the most erudite, reputed and outspoken journalists the country has ever produced. He has been instrumental in promoting communal harmony and secularism.

Dr. Pragnya Ram is the Senior President, Corporate Communications of the Aditya Birla Group. She is responsible for the communication strategies of all of the group companies and the group’s community initiatives and rural development. She is also on the Governing Council of the Sarala Birla Academy, Bangalore.

Suneeta Rao is a popstar, dancer and stage actress. She is the spokesperson for Population First’s Girl Child Initiative “LAADLI”. Her Pop – Fusion album “WAQT” has Raga – based Contemporary music, and includes a song and music video for the Girl Child called “Sun Zara”, which was sponsored by UNFPA for the cause.

Nandini Sardesai is eminent Sociologist and Professor, Research Associate and Teacher in various educational institutions, Ms. Nandini Sardesai is a Member of the Advisory Council of Dignity Foundation and a member of the Indian Censor Board for motion pictures.

Kalpana Sharma is an independent journalist, columnist and media consultant based in Mumbai. She writes regularly for several newspapers and websites on a range of issues including urban development, gender, contemporary politics and the media. She was until 2007, Deputy Editor and Chief Bureau, The Hindu in Mumbai. Among her publications are: Rediscovering Dharavi: Stories from India’s Largest Slum (2000), Terror Counter-Terror: Women Speak Out (2003), and Whose News? The Media and Women’s Issues (1994/2006), both co-edited with Ammu Joseph. She has also written several books and is one of the Founder of Network of Women in Media, India.

Anuradha Sengupta
is a broadcast journalist / anchor and producer. Her shows “Being…” (CNN-IBN), “Beautiful People” (CNBC-TV18), “Storyboard edited by Anuradha Sengupta” (CNBC-TV18), “LIME” (CNBC-TV18) and “Chivas Studio Gentleman’s Code “(Star World) are seen as benchmarks for television features. She is a member of ad-regulator ASCI andhas helped draft the new guidelines for the advertising of fairness products.

R. R. Singh is currently Professor Emeritus at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Earlier he was the Head of the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, and Director of TISS Mumbai and Kurukshetra University. Prof. Singh has pioneered mobile health care in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Varanasi.

Dolly Thakore has worn many hats: Television Newscaster, Commentator, Columnist, Communication and Public Relations Consultant, Associate Publisher, Editor, Casting Director and Stage Actor. But the last hat she has worn as a Social Activist has outlasted them all. And even today she is actively involved with the India Sponsorship Committee, ALERT-INDIA; Citizens for Peace…even the play THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES that she has been associated with for over 10 years is part of a global movement to end violence against women. Dolly Thakore has been the National coordinator of the Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity since its inception in 2007.

SuneetaSuneeta Rao
Suneeta started her career with an album, “Suneeta Senorita”, in 1989 (with HMV, that sold over 75,000 copies,). She then released 4 more Hindi Pop albums entitled “Dhuan”, “ Talaash”, “Ab Ke Baras” and “ Waqt”.The song and the video of “Paree Hoon Main” from the album “Dhuan” made Suneeta Rao a household name, thus leading the press to affectionately crown her the "Paree of the Masses".

She is actively involved and is the spokesperson of an initiative called "Laadli" organized by an NGO called Population First, started by her uncle, Bobby Sista, whose main agenda is "Saving the Girl Child". The music video “Sun Zara” was sponsored by UNFPA, for the same cause.

Her association with A. R. Rahman was "Adi Paru Mangatha", from the 1994 Tamil film, May Madham. Suneeta has written and recorded an anthem song for global warming for a campaign initiated by the ICAI and GYAAN called PLANET ALERT.
